PHP-Calendar is an open source web calendar. It is intended to provide a simple solution with an intuitive interface. It is targeted to groups and individuals with the need to track events with an emphasis on group collaboration. In that same collaborative spirit, the source for PHP-Calendar is available under the open source Apache 2.0 license to facilitate collaborative development.

- Development - Demo of the current development line. It may be broken, but it should show off some of the newest enhancements.
Log in as demo with the password demo to add and edit events. The demos are reset every night.

2.0.14 released
PHP-Calendar 2.0.14 is out. It’s mostly a security release, and everyone running 2.0 should upgrade. Several of the fixes are serious: an attacker could inject PHP code through the installer, log in as another user through the login cookie, or use SQL injection in the category and group forms.

Long hiatus
It’s been a very long time since PHP-Calendar has seen any significant changes. A few years ago I started a project to improve both the UI and the code design. It never got to the point where it was releasable. Last year, I improved on this a bit and started using Symfony. You can see the progress on the main branch on GitHub.

Updating tech
A few months ago PHP stopped support for PHP 5.3. I tend to lag significantly behind modern versions. PHP 5.3.0 was released in June 2009. I haven’t really kept up with some of the other interesting bits of PHP tech to come out since then.

2.0.3 released
I’m really sorry about my poor translation support. I’ve had a lot of other things that I wanted to get to first. I was hoping someone else would have a clue how to manage translations and step up and do it. Well, today I finally figured out how to update the translations from transifex. I will try to keep them up to date each release. If you update a translation and want to pull it into the calendar, you can run
tx pull -a. You need to install the transifex client first. There are instructions on their website. -
Moving to php-calendar.org
I’ve had php-calendar.com and php-calendar.org for years now. I’m moving everything over to php-calendar.org and getting rid of php-calendar.com.
